And the race for the international championship has begun! This season’s Abarth Rally Cup got off to a spectacular start along winding roads immersed in the breathtaking landscapes of Gran Canaria. Well done to the Spanish team Monarri-Chamorro, which beat all its rivals to first place in the RG-T and ERC2 categories.

The Abarth Rally Cup drivers weren’t in the least intimidated by Latvia’s fast dirt tracks. The adrenalin fuelled 859km race with its 13 special stages, saw Andrea Nucita (Italy) and his team partner Alina Pop (Romania) secure the overall win. The team also took third place in the ERC2 category.

The third stage of a season that has already offered lots of excitement. The drivers of the Abarth Rally Cup will cover more than 450km on one of Europe’s oldest dirt tracks. The first race held there was in 1921.

From the Palazzo della Civiltà del Lavoro, to the Colosseum, through the ancient Forum and all the best that Rome has to offer. The Rally di Roma Capitale is once more one of the stages of the ERC Championship. Will the competitors in the fourth round of the Abarth Rally Cup let themselves be distracted by all the wonders of the Eternal City? 

Yes, it's on asphalt, but it's winding and bumpy. Nature often prevails on this unmissable ERC course, with forests to cross and an unpredictable climate. It will be a really tough test for the drivers of the Abarth Rally Cup and an adrenaline-filled spectacle.
