New Abarth 500e's 100% electric motor has no cylinders, fuel and particulate filters, oil and fuel pumps, spark plugs, engine oil, and exhaust gas treatment systems. This means easier maintenance and lower service costs than traditional cars.
To keep your car up and running at its top performance, you will only have to replace a few consumable parts, such as tyres, pads, cabin air filter, and brakes.

With the New Abarth 500e and its Connected Infotainment System, even long journeys are a breeze. The software automatically plans the ideal itinerary, with stops for recharging. And, thanks to the 85kw fast charging capability*, you can top up to 80% range in only 35 minutes, and up to 25 miles in just 5 minutes.

*You can obtain 15-80% of the vehicle charge in 35 minutes from a 100kw rapid charging station. The vehicle will rapid charge at a rate of up to 85W, depending on the power of a rapid charging station used and will take longer to charge at a lower power.

RANGE.

The speed factor
When highway driving at 81 mph (where legally permitted), at constant speed, the range of a 100% electric vehicle is almost halved compared to that of the WLTP cycle. Meanwhile, at constant urban driving speeds, the range can be extended beyond the WLTP cycle.

Driving habits matter
Smooth acceleration and gentle use of braking reduces energy consumption, whilst the one-pedal drive function maximizes the regenerative braking effect. Combined, these can help optimize range by 15%-20%.

Temperature onboard
Exterior temperatures, plus the heating or air conditioning can vary the potential range by up to 40%, depending on the season and cabin thermal comfort required. Preheating the car when it is still plugged in is very effective to improve range.

Both in terms of complexity and cost: combustion cars are very complex, with lots of moving parts, pipes, filters and different fluids, while the new electric Abarth is much easier to maintain, as it contains fewer wear and tear components. This reduces maintenance expenses by up to 35% compared to a combustion car.
It also offers a battery guaranteed for 8 years and 100,000 miles, and an innovative connected system, which allows you to automatically update the over-the-air infotainment system.

The New Abarth 500e's electric powertrain produces reduced emissions of CO₂ and other harmful gases.

There are several incentives for electric car owners. For example, you will be exempt from Vehicle Emissions Duty (VED), exempt from the London congestion charge as long as you apply for the 100% discount, and exempt from the Ultra Low Emission Zone.
